I’m all for the Kings giving up their first for a top LD that has term left. Absolutely not for the Kings giving their first for a goalie or a rental. Kings aren’t winning the cup and at best I’d say they get knocked out in the second round. I think they should just ride with the hot goalie in Copley and have the veteran back up in Quick even though he’s been awful and try hard for that LD.

I would be ok if the Kings went after another goalie, as long at Petersen goes the other way. I dont think Quick will return next season.

Defense is the more pressing matter that needs to be address.

Eric Stephens of The Athletic suggested Connor Ingram as a cheap, backup option to Copley. He has been good in limited starts.

With them just signed Copley for an extra year I think they are content riding him into the Playoffs. I’d personally like to see a smaller move like Gavrikov, a big bruising LD. I wouldn’t give up our first this year though. We didn’t have one last year and this year’s draft is supposed to be deep. While I don’t think we win it all we are much closer than this time last year and anything can happen in the playoffs.

I would also like Gavrikov, Kings need a stay at home dman, I think it makes more sense then Chychrun, but definitely not for a first since he could be a rental. But I think the Kings would be able to get him this off-season if they miss him at the TD and don’t land Chychrun.
